The Vincentians in Uganda mission conducted a series of activities from October 7th to 13th October in a bid to promote the Vincentian charism in the newly established mission. The activities included charity drives, catechesis, retreats, celebrations of sacraments especially Eucharist and Reconciliation and counselling services. The weeklong activities brought together 32,000 pilgrims who travelled from all Dioceses in Uganda and even some from neighbouring countries of Kenya and Rwanda.

On October 13th, mass was celebrated in honour of St. Mathias Mulumba one of the Ugandan Martyr and the patron saint of Jinja Diocese. The Mass which was the culmination of the celebrations brought together priests from the entire Jinja Diocese for prayer and worship. The Vincentians were honoured in a special way for hosting the function and promoting evangelization in Uganda. The Vice Province of Kenya is committed to further evangelizing Jinja Diocese and other Dioceses in Uganda with programs such as ongoing formation for clergy, preaching retreats, and conducting popular missions in rural parishes.
